Halloween Time at Disneyland

1281 Views

My friend Natalie and I take a yearly trip to Disneyland. This year we decided to go for her birthday. We also did a day at Universal Studios Hollywood which was a nice warm up for a super long day at Disneyland.

We got park hoppers with the max pass so we could go between DCA (Disney’s California Adventure) and Disneyland, and book fast passes without having to physically go to the rides. Trust me, the extra $10 is totally worth not having to walk clear across the park from Indiana Jones to Space Mountain or into DCA to get a fast pass. Also, the Disneyland app is key! You can check wait times, book fast passes (w/ max pass), see when and where characters will be, and you can even mobile order food from certain restaurants. Anyways, enough about the app but I will say it definitely came in handy during our visit.

For some reason, the park was super busy. The calendar said it was going to be an average day, but we saw wait times upwards of 3 hours. Haunted Mansion stayed at 3 hours pretty much the whole day, which is typical during Halloween time. We didn’t bother waiting in that line but we did wait awhile to ride Spooky Space Mountain. The other rides we strategically fast passed and waited patiently for.

Disneyland during Halloween time is a lot of fun. The decorations are awesome and some rides get decked out for the occasion. The park also rolls out special treats like mummy Mickey macaroons, poison apple cake pops, and Halloween themed churros. If you decided to visit Disneyland definitely visit during Halloween, or Holiday season which is equally amazing.
