It all started when I studied abroad in London in 2013.

When I first started blogging, it was to share my life in London with my friends and family back home in the states. Back then, Like the Drum was hosted on a free WordPress site and consisted of photos taken on my broken iPhone and a dated Nikon camera. And trust be told, London was the place that sparked my wanderlust. While there, I learned about so many places that I hadn’t even heard of and my world view expanded drastically.

After leaving England, blogging fell by the wayside and it wasn’t until 2017 that I started blogging again. Since then, there’s been hiatuses but I always return because my passion for travel is alive and well and I want to encourage others to step outside of their own backyards.

And this i just the beginning. As the years go on, I look forward to connecting with like-minded travelers, sharing more amazing destinations, and continuing to inspire other to see the world!

What’s in a name? When most people hear my name they’ll say, “Oh, like Tiffany,” or, “Oh, like symphony.” And while neither are wrong, I was named specifically after the instrument so… it’s Timpani, like the drum.
