24 Hours in Athens, Greece

Many people suggest skipping Athens if you’re short on time in Greece, but I definitely think it’s worth checking out. During my trip we stayed in an Airbnb. It was a 20 minute walk from the Acropolis and located near a metro stop. It’s in the Koukaki area, but if I were to revisit Athens I would stay in Plaka. It was a cuter area that seemed to have more going on. Either way, if you only have 24 hours in Athens, I suggest staying near the Acropolis as its one of the must-sees.

WHERE TO EAT in Athens

  • Pax Burgers
Super affordable and delicious burgers. I tried the truffle fries and Dirty Bastard burger which came on a brioche bun with BBQ sauce, brisket, bacon, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, and lettuce. Both were great!
  • Lukumades
Yummy little fried donuts! It’s right next to Pax so pop over after your burger for a sweet treat. You can get them filled, with toppings, or both.
  • Bubble Tale
Bubble Tea! Try the green tea with mango syrup and peach popping pearls or red tea with peach syrup and strawberry popping pearls.

Athens…I plan to be there sometime in the future. My bucket-list seems to grow by the day but I’m up for the challenge.
